Shaped Water

Create a new file (File > New or Ctrl + N) with dimension 500 x 500 pixels and resolution 72 dpi ::Usually 72 dpi or 96 dpi and RGB mode are used to create Web Graphic, 300 dpi and CMYK mode for Print Graphic:: |

Press "d" to choose default colour (Black foreground and white background colour) Create Cloud image (Filter > Render > Cloud) |

a. Create Hue/Saturation Layer Adjustment b. Set Hue : 0, Saturation : 50, Lightness :0 and check Colorize c. It will create Reddish cloud image ::By using Layer Adjustment method, we will be able to go back and change the setting whenever we want to, but it will also increase the file size as it adds extra layer:: |

a. Create another new Hue/Saturation Layer Adjustment b. Set Hue : 200, Saturation : 50, Lightness :0 and check Colorize c. It will create Blueish cloud image |

a. Choose Gradient tool from Tool Pallete and set as Linear Gradient b. Make sure the top Hue/Saturation layer is selected, and also make sure that the Layer Mask is activated (Indicated by white border around the Layer Mask Thumbnail). Clik and drag from left hand side of the canvas to the right hand side c. It will create half red and half blue cloud image |

a. Choose Brush Tool from 9 px b. Open Brushes Pallete (Window > Brushes or F5). Set the Size Jitter : 100% from Shape Dynamic Section c. Set Scatter : 500 and Count : 2 from Scattering Section |

a. Prepare Butterfly - Paths - Custom Shape b. Create a new Layer above Coloured Cloud2 layer c. Click and Drag on the Canvas to create the Custom Shape ::If Butterfly shape cannot be found, click Pointing Down Black Arrow from the Shape preview pallete to show the list of Custom Shape, click the Pointing Right Black Arrow and choose Nature:: |

a. Open Paths Pallete (Window > Paths) and select the path we want to use as brush guideline b. Click Black Triangle from Paths Pallete, and choose Stroke Path... c. The Butterfly path will be drawn with scattered dots |

a. Open Layers Pallete (Window > Layers or F7) and select the second icon from the left at the bottom of Layers Pallete b. At Blending Options section, make sure Fill Opacity : 0 c. At Inner Shadow section, change the Colour to #333333, Opacity : 50%, and Contour : Ring d. At Inner Glow section, change Opacity : 100, colour : #FFFFFF and Contour : Ring |

a. At this state, our Shaped Water is finished, but it is better to save the Layer Style for future use. Open Styles Pallete (Window > Styles) b. Click Black Triangle from Styles Pallete and choose New Style... It will pop up another window asking the new name for saved style. Just type "water effect" c. Our water effect style has been added at the last row |
